Donnington Park

I thought he was going to come fourth, third at best...but Valentino Rossi, with 8 laps to go created an 8 second gap in about three laps & wouldn't let anyone past him. It was a great race considering the weather, Rossi playing an air violin over the finish line.

  1. Rossi
  2. Roberts
  3. Barros

Next race is at Sachsenring (Germany) on the 31st July.

Still at School

Right, so I turned up on Monday & said I was leaving. They told me I could drop two subjects & re-do them next year, to make the work load easier, since the HSC is like having 5 different jobs which have their own big work loads that all need to be done at the same time all in the same year. & guess what, the government think we get off too easy! They want it harder! Fucking bullshit. Anyway, they told me I could do that & I was like, "Really? I didn't know that." They should offer that at the start of the year, we have 5 years to complete our HSC, that's far better then 2. Anyway, it'll end up taking me 3. I dropped Ancient History & Society & Culture. I will be re-doing Society & Culture next year, but I won't re-do Ancient History at all. I'll do hopsitality instead, both the year 11 & 12 course in the same year. It'll be good, as hospitality will get me a certificate II which is internationally recognised, so I can holiday overseas & pay for it by working in a cafe, restaurant or bar. That would be fun!

Go Away School

Well, I'm dropping out. I've had enough of it, & it's not as if I haven't got any aspirations at all. I'm not going to sit around & do nothing, I plan on getting a job & doing a TAFE course next year.

Leguna Seca

  1. Hayden
  2. Edwards
  3. Rossi

Image hosting by PhotobucketNicky Hayden

Nicky had the advantage of knowledge & experience of Leguna Seca, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a great performance. The American crowd must have been proud, the first American 1-2 finish since Schwantz & Rainey.

Considering that it's Rossi first time riding at Leguna Seca 3rd place is pretty good. 3rd place being his worst result this season isn't a bad job either. He's now 79 points ahead in the championship.

Next race is at Donnington Park (Britain) on the 24th July.

Getting Old (some fowl language used)

Nope, I'm getting older, but not old. I was just thinking about something. This was a while ago now, but I saw the type of old lady I want to be when I grow up walking down the main street of Cessnock. She was wearing these slim framed glasses that were royal blue, since I have to wear glasses/contact lenses I thought that was pretty cool, considering that most old people where bug frame glasses that look like they'd put the old glass bottles to shame, & she had this look on her face which said "I don't care if I'm over 70, if you touch me I'll fucking kill you." Then I saw these two old ladies browsing Millers clothes while I was waiting for my mum, they were chatting away, oblivious of who could hear them, & I thought That'd be the type of grannies me & my friend would be, except we'd be bitching about everyone that could hear. & if anyone had the guts to tell us off we'd just yell at them, "Respect your fucking elders you fucking arsehole!"

Just some thoughts for the morning.

18

I thought turning 18 was about how drunk you could get. How many bars you could go to. How little you remember. Or maybe that's more a guys thing, 'cause it seems that costume parties are the rage for chicks right now. Two people I go to school with are having fancy dress parties, a couple of people I know outside of school are celebrating their 18th like that too, along with someone who goes to a friends school. What's the go? I don't have anything against costume parties, they can be fun, getting all glamed up as something you are not; but wasn't that the hype when we were little children? Suggest a costume party in the junior years of high school & you'd be looked at wierd...or maybe that's just the school I went to...Kurri is a world away from Mt View...But still, are people trying to hold onto their inner child? Meh, who cares, I know what I'm doing in November when I turn 18, & that's buy myself & large bottle of Vodka...& hopefully I'll get to celebrate it with friends when we go away for Schoolies!

Gryphonex suffers for HSC

Yea, I hate it, but sacrifices have to be made...screw that, I really couldn't give a shit. But, still, a failure looks better then a quit. So I will not be update Gryphonex; haven't been updating Grpyohnex; it's still sitting on May's updates....oops. So I have my Personal Interest Project to do, & class notes to organise, my Body Of Work to complete, then exams to study for. Screw going to university, it's too expensive & I despise written work too much to even consider wasting that much money (I know 30 & 40 year olds who are still finishing off paying for their uni course! The one they did in their early 20s!). I'm going to do a TAFE course though, starting with a nail thechnology course, then a web design course. I might even consider a photography course, you never know, it could be fun.

Rossifumi

WOoT! Gotta love the legend that is Valentino Rossi! Here's a few pictures of him from Assen to give you a fix before Leguna Seca on the weekend (OMG I can't wait!). You'll have to excuse the size & quality though...

Image hosted by Photobucket.comWho could resist a smile like that? Seriously (Shut up Tath, we know you're not normal).

Image hosted by Photobucket.comImage hosted by Photobucket.comOn the podium, while listening to his national anthem. I especially love the first one.

Image hosted by Photobucket.comThis is just before he has his interview after the podium. He has such a to-die-for look on his face!

PS: Don't worry Tath, I'm sure you'll get over it!

Marriage

Yea, so I've noticed there has been a rise in the amount of shit I've been hearing about marriages. It must be the time of year...I don't see the point. Why do you need a piece of jewelery & rediculously expensive ceremony to prove your love for another person, unless of course there is other motives to getting married, like money that may be coming your way. But lets not get into gold-diggin shall we. Marriage, & all that religious crap that came with it is old fashion. Remaining with one person for the rest of your life may have helped prevent sexual -transmitted diseases/infections from spreading too much, but we have such things as protection & modern medicine that can deal with those things. & lets face it, nothing stays new forever; you want a companion that will always be happy to see you, not matter how long you've been together, buy a dog! I'm sure you'll find a cute puppy at your local pound or pet shop, maybe even from someone in your nieghbourhood who's dog just had puppies. But we are humans, we get bored with things after a while. Ever purchased something, like a new outfit or a mobile phone & thought you could want for nothing better, just to see the next line of fashion/technology come out & instantly turn your "perfect" buy into yesturdays news? You'd have to be very unique to say that everything you've bought has never gone out of fashion with your tastes. It's in our nature to develop, so why do people still see marriage as such an important thing? If you're living with someone long enough you become their defacto partner & get all the marriage benfits anyway. Although who am I to question god? Who am I to question the way religion should dictate peoples lives? Who am I to say that needing "official" pieces of paper & a ring to prove your love for someone is old fashion? In my opinion, you don't need a ring, you don't need a piece of paper, you don't need a priest, you just need each other. & I don't believe in "there's someone out there for everyone", because we wouldn't understand the concept of "single" or "bachelor(ette)" if there was someone waiting out there for you. I suppose that hardens my doubts about marriage, as marriage is strongly centred around the whole "she/he is the right one for me, I just know it". The Pagan's got it right though, Handfasting is far more practical, it's a joining of two people for a year & a day, after that you can either "seperate" or choose to undergo the ceremony again. A ceremony centred around the ideals of nature, not money & class. In saying all that I am a strong believer in "everyone to their own", I understand marriage must work for many people, it wouldn't be so popular otherwise, what I don't understand is those who have had several marriages but swear that he/she is the right one this time. Learn from your mistakes! Unless it's for money of course...That would be the only reason I'd rush off & get married, it's not worth it otherwise, your life can be just a fullfilling without marriage. Well, it's 4am & I'm ranting about marriage! Charming.
